Terms and Conditions

  1. Bookings are accepted at the absolute discretion of the Festival Steering Committee. Payment will be refunded for any booking refused.
  2. Payment must be received at the time of booking. No booking will be confirmed until paid in full.
  3. Bookings cancelled after Friday, 25th August 2017, will not receive any refund.
  4. On Saturday, the Market Place event is open to visitors from 9am until 5pm.
    On Sunday, the Market Place event is open to visitors from 10am until 4pm.
    Exhibitors are committed to staying the whole day.
  5. Stalls are traditional markets stalls, metal framed, measuring 8’x7’ with a candy-striped canopy. Produce is supported on a 8’x4’ plywood / block-board table-top.
    [Where necessary, it is possible to insert a freestanding chiller unit in place of the table top, providing the overall dimensions do not exceed 8’x4’]
  6. Hot food vans are allocated space according to the number of 10’ pitch widths booked.
  7. An electricity supply is available to a limited number of exhibitors at a charge of £40.00 per standard 240 volt x 13 amp socket for the two days. No private generators will be allowed on site.
  8. All stallholders and hot food vans must keep within the space provided. No free standing adverts, signs etc. will be permitted.
  9. The Exhibitor must not place goods beyond the boundaries of the stall / van, neither on the ground nor hanging, except with the permission of the Festival Organiser.
  10. The Exhibitor must keep the stall and fittings, and the space below the stall / van clean and free from litter. Exhibitors are responsible for removing their own rubbish from site.
  11. The Exhibitor must only sell food and drink, or food and drink related products.
  12. The Exhibitor must have public liability insurance cover for £5 million.
  13. Exhibitors selling foodstuffs must comply with Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 as amended, and Food Safety (Temperature Control) Regulations 1995 as amended.
  14. Exhibitors selling food must be registered with their Local Authority and must provide evidence of current registration to the Festival Organiser at the time of making their booking application.
  15. All vehicles must be off the Market Place by 9am.
    No vehicle movement will be allowed on the Market Place during the event.
  16. On Friday, 15th September, between 2 – 5pm, Exhibitors may, if they wish, unload onto their stalls and/or pitch their hot food stands.
  17. On the Friday and Saturday nights, there will be an overnight night-watch on the Market Place. Nevertheless, items are left overnight at the exhibitor’s own risk.
  18. Alnwick Food Festival will not be liable for any loss or damage, consequential or otherwise to any trader's property or produce.
  19. Alnwick Food Festival will endeavour to accommodate specific stall location requests where possible but reserves the right to refuse a request or change an agreed position.
  20. Alnwick Food Festival reserves the right to order a stallholder to cease trading in the event either of a breach of these terms conditions or of gross misconduct (which shall be deemed to include any behavior liable disrupt lawful trade or to damage the reputation of the Alnwick Food Festival)
  21. Payment will be deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
